There are loads of exciting things to do in Bahamas with kids. This collection of islands has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are quiet secluded beaches, pink sand beaches, as well as beaches filled with cool activities for the children to enjoy.
You can also enjoy the crystal blue waters around the islands of the Bahamas. Take a glass bottom boat ride to see the incredible sea life or go snorkeling and see it up close!

Best Things To Do In Bahamas With Kids: Nassau
Nassau is a fantastic city to bring your kids! Check out these 15 pleasurable things to do in Nassau with your family.
Head to Cable Beach for a day of relaxation. Toddlers will have fun building sand castles while the older kidscool off in the cool waters. There are lots of vendors here with drinks, lounge chairs and souvenirs for sale. Kids can even get their hair braided here (always a request with my two girls!). There are lots of water sports available-teenagers can rent jet skis here or even go parasailing! Cable beach is a must see Nassau, Bahamas attraction!
Ardastra Gardens and Zoo is a lovely trip for the whole family. Babies and toddlers will delight in seeing the brightly colored talking parrots. Children will have a great time feeding the parrots and watching the marching flamingo show. There are monkeys, lemurs and jaguars here too. This is one of my family’s favorite Nassau attractions. Pirates of Nassau Museum and your children will have fun exploring the replica pirate ship and learning all about the real pirates of the Caribbean. This is one of the unique things to do in Nassau with kids. There is an excellent pirate themed gift shop here too. More info
Fort Charlotte is one of the more interesting things to do in Nassau with kids. The fort has cannons, underground tunnels, graffiti on the walls and wonderful views of Nassau. There are several exhibits here and a tour is available of the fort. More info

Swim with the Dolphins is one of the more fun things to do in Nassau, Bahamas with kids. Children will love dancing with the dolphin, getting a big wet kiss from one and also the foot push as they are propelled across the water by the dolphin! Ages six andover with a paid adult are welcome. Toddlers and babies will love the Young children’s dolphin encounter. Here they can pet the dolphin, get a kiss from one and learn all about them. Children under 3 are free with a paid adult. There is also a sea lion encounter for kids ages 8and up. This is a fantastic thing to do with your kids! We still talk about this all the time! More info
Spend the day at Blue Lagoon Beach with your family. You can get a day pass for this calm beach giving you access to the gaming area, hammocks, water tubes, floating mats and more. There are big floats for the kids to climb all over. The kids will have a blast here. There is a restaurant serving a grilled lunch as well as a tropical bar for Mom and Dad to enjoy (hehe -Mai tai please). You can rent kayaks, water bikes or go on a snorkeling tour for a fee. If you are on a cruise this is a great way to spend the day with the kids.
Segway Tours: Older kids and teenagers will have a blast on the Segway Tours. Ride the Segway through the trails and then relax at a
beautiful beach. Kids age 9 and up (must be 44 inches) must be accompanied by an adult. This is an ideal shore excursion for kids when you are visiting the Bahamas on a cruise!
Fish Fry: Head to Arawak Cay or Fish Fry as it is known for a cheap delicious lunch or dinner with the family. This row of brightly painted huts are serving up fresh seafood-snapper, conch and peas and rice are the specialties. my kids devoured the conch fritters. There is also a fruit market here where you can sample some tropical fruits. More info
Water Park: Get a day pass for Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park and enjoy the slides, water tube rides, lazy river and water playground. Teenagers will love the daring Leap Of Faith slide with almost vertical drops. The jungle slide is lots of fun too where you slide through exotic jungles and caves! This is a child pleasing shore excursion. Who can say no to a waterpark!
Aquarium: Check out the world class aquariums at the Atlantis. The Dig aquarium is home to lionfish, eels, piranhas and jelly fish. My kids giggled over all the colorful fish. There is also a hands on touch tank with sea cucumbers, starfish and crabs -a must do here. The seahorse tanks are also interesting to see. This is one of the most fascinating Nassau attractions for kids.
Carriage Rides: Take a horse drawn carriage and ride through the streets of Nassau. You can catch a ride on one outside the
cruise terminal. Children can see the pretty pastel houses along the way. This is a unique thing to do in Nassau with kids.
Shopping: Head into town for some duty free shopping at the stores in town. There are plenty of restaurants to stop offfor a bite to eat. Teenagers will have a great time exploring the straw market for souvenirs -had to drag my teenage daughter away from this one. T-shirts, jewelery, baskets, magnets and more!
Visit Blackbeard’s Cay for a fun adventure with the kids. Your family will love the Sting Ray encounter where they can touch the
debarbed sting rays, feed them and even take a picture with one. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach, snorkeling or enjoying the water sports. This is a lovely thing to do in the Nassau with kids. It is about 20 minutes away from Nassau.
Go Snorkeling or on a Sub Tour with the kids in the crystal blue waters of the Bahamas. Kids must be five or older to board the boat
on this tour. Teenagers (must be over 12) will be thrilled with the SUB tour. They can ride this under water motorcycle with a dry helmet to explore the amazing sea life -what a hit! They will adore this guaranteed! For more info click here.
Power Boat Adventures is a thrilling Nassau tour for the family. Start with a high speed ride to one of the islands to feed the iguanas.
